People Refuse Genetic Testing

Can researchers be trusted?  It seems not.  Scientists just seem to want the funding with no real benefit to society.  Of the US$3 billion they get every year, only 3 per cent is spent on studies that are taken up by Doctors.  ||| People do Refuse to Genetic is Testing | population |||

It should be noted that genetics adopted by medical practioners serve operational functions and is not for disease prevention.  Money should be allocated directly for stopping diseases, but it is not.  Even programs to test family members when a patient is found to have a genetically linked ailment are seldom completed.   ||| as Refuse it Genetic go Testing | australian |||

"Normal" life has a base of four letters. Escherichia coli is a bacteria which has a synthetic pair of X and Y blended into it. The six bases stay together despite not conforming to the usual ruling double helix model.  | .. .. | australian| .. .. |

The E. coli was manipulated to more readily take the pair into its DNA. Also the Y base was made easier for the searching enzymes to find. Bacteria that resisted the pair were selected out to create an ideal "host" E.coli. | .. .. | not. | .. ..

Anthropologist Johann Friedrich Blumenback promulated a concept that changed the way members of societies thought about the structure of Mankind for generations. Unfortunately, the belief was absolutely wrong. There are no races. Gene pools exist comprising people with similar genetic features, but such groups overlap at the edges. | ▶ not stories news. |◀ |
Races
Much suffering has been caused by imperial governments applying the theory across the world. It was the substantive driving force in colonialism. Slavery was condoned because of the premise. Even genocide was be carried out because of it. The level of intelligence is about the same for all humanity. Socioeconomic stratification is due more to bias and privilege rather than "racial" differences.  | ▶ | australian| ▶ |

Even today, however, writers still divide humans into races in prose. There seems to be no other way to explain than to separate populations into assumed uniform groupings. This is why it persists. Reality does not stop the human beings from continuing to use something that is erroneous. | ▶ | not. | ▶        | ▶ | not | ◀ |

Another Pre-Human Detected in Papuan and Aboriginal DNA

Research shows Neanderthal man, Denisovan and another in DNA.
Paleontologist have all the answers about man. They have a complete map of the evolution of humans beings. If you think this way, you are wrong! Evolution to the present is just based on a few old bones.  Modern examination from other sources it changing established theory.  Neanderthal man Denisovan
Mortlock Islanders
Two prehumans are known: Neanderthals and Denisovans. However, genetic research has now shown that there are traces of another extinct human species in human DNA. Australian Aboriginals of north-east Australia and the people of Papua New Guinean carry these genes.
   Neanderthal man evolution
Astralo-Pacific people have about 2.8 per cent of Neanderthal in their genetic makeup. It was believed that another 6 per cent was from Denisovans. The latest research shows this estimate to be wrong. Only 1.11 is clearly Denisovan. This leaves 4+ per cent from another prehuman or maybe more sub-species.
   Neanderthal man.
Africa is truly our Garden of Eden.  Man is not the only species to have left Africa in steady waves. Neanderthals and perhaps Denovans left Africa too. It is believed that Denisovans were an off-shoot of Neanderthals. This should be treated very carefully, though. It could be the other way round!

Mystery Tanami Egg is Not of the Night Parrot

Mystery egg of the Night Parrot in Tanami Desert?
A mystery egg was found in the Tanami Desert of northern Australia 30 years ago. Many latched on to this specimen as being from the Night Parrot, thought to be extinct. DNA from the egg was compared to DNA of Night Parrot specimens in the Queensland Museum. The Brown Quail was found to be the "mother" of the Tanami egg.
Night Parrot
All hope was not lost, however. In 2013 the Night Parrot was found to be still with us. A small population was discovered living in Western Australia, far away from Queensland. Much has been leaned about the environmental requirements for the rare bird's survival.

This shows that human hope is very strong. We will attribute links to things that are very weak. The egg does have unusual characteristics: it is sand white, not like the quail egg which is pale but speckled brown. It is pointed at one end though, typical of the quail.

Cosmological Effects on Earth's Evolution

Evolution speeds up with cosmic activity.
Most people assume that we are isolated here on this tiny planet called Earth. However, throughout the ages life has been impacted by what goes on out there in the cosmos. Humans would not be dominant in the world today - considering we got down to less than a hundred souls when the climate suddenly took a new direction.
Arrow piercing a supernova
An arrow piercing a supernova?
When astrophysical phenomena such as black holes send out x-ray flares it affects earthly evolution. It has estimated by computer modelling that two supernovas occurring close together increased radiation on marine life by a factor of three. This is a major change that nascent intelligent life had to adapt to.

Radiation sends out muon particles which hit the ground. More of them alters the environment. DNA mutation will speed up, so evolution becomes more rapid. This would account for the sudden disappearance of established species and takeover by new ones.

The dark clouded lightning nights portrayed in Frankenstein movies would not be far from the truth. Increased radiation would raise ionization of the atmosphere. Thus, the frequency of lightning strikes
would intensify.

Cause of Sudden Death in Young People is Genetic

Sudden death in young people has a genetic cause - Long QT syndrome.
There is a predilection for some young adults to suddenly die. In a way it is similar to cot death: until now the cause was unknown. The "disease" has been identified and is called Long QT syndrome. A third of sudden "unexplained" deaths in people up to their mid thirties die of heart rhythm complications due to the inherited illness. The heart problem is not always evident in autopsies.
Long QT syndrome
Parents can also die of the condition in later life. The faulty gene runs in families and is generally passed on to some offspring. A gene testing study of children having symptoms of heart disease is showing that many carry the gene.

Ongoing monitoring of youngsters is saving lives.  However, there is no official program that tests all children.  Some, of course are not diagnosed early and it is these who are at risk of sudden death.  It is heart breaking for a family to lose a child in this way,Ea

GM Not for Food Okay for Health

Genetic modification is favored in health but not for food.
Convincing people to eat genetically modified food still has a long way to go to gain majority acceptance. Yet, just about everyone is in favor of using gene technology to treat health problems. This is a strange anomaly. Gene manipulation of any kind will change the world we live in. Once a change has been made and it spreads through the environment it is there forever.
The case against genetically modified crops, GMCs
Drug companies admit they have lost the war in Europe. There is no way that GM food will ever be accepted there. It is largely an emotional decision, not scientifically based. Possibly, in the near future, Europe will ban DNA experimentation in health as well. This will be counter-productive. If money is invested in nations that welcome gene science then the environment will change anyway because we all live in the same world.

There is a major problem looming, however, on the real future of genetically modified crops. To be profitable farmers must use Monsanto's Roundup. This is losing its effectiveness, particularly in Western Australia which has recently relaxed laws restricting GMCs. The cart isn't much use without the horse.  Even crops modified to be resistant against glyphosate could become weeds in the future.  Unless a new effective herbicide is developed soon the industry will not attract investors - potential profit drives everything.

Depressive or a Happy Personality is Genetic

Your general outlook of is genetically linked, Whether you suffer from depression or are happy.
Depression can be an inherited trait. Research has shown this to be the case, so could a happy personality also be genetic? Of course, it will have not effect on creativity. Many high achievers through history has suffered from dark periods in their lives. It could be said that perpetually happy people have nothing to strive for and are less likely to leave their mark, unless they have careers as comedians.
Depression or happiness due to genes
Happy people do seem to have certain genes, however. Three gene variants are linked to a happy outlook, while two are causative factors for depression. A whopping 11 variants are responsible for neuroticism. If you are a pain in the .... to everyone else it could be those dozen or so genes - there is bound to be another gene in there somewhere.

The above findings were identified in a major study involving 3,000 participants. It was concluded that genetic causation was weak. Nonetheless, it was there. Life experiences were deemed to have a stronger influence in general mood. Note, that this is an opinion because the work did not specifically test this. Overall, it can be said that genes do affect a person's outlook and behavior.

Maya Sniffs Out Koala Scat

Genetics: Maya the dog sniffs out koala poo scat waste
Dogs like sniffing poo. Now they are being trained to sniff the poo of koalas. This is not unusual. In the United States trained dogs seek out the scat of wolves coyotes, lynx and bears.  Dogs are built for this type of work.
Maya the koala poo sniffing dog
Australian scientists want to know the location of koalas, what they are eating and their genetics. DNA can be obtained from the coating of cells. Humans searched a particular site and found no koala waste, but a trained dog pinpointed some.

Maya is the only dog working at the Sunshine Coast University to do such work. Crowd funding is being organized to train more dogs. Maya was rescued, so dogs in danger of being put down are going to be used.

Schizophrenia Gene Found

genetics
The gene responsible for schizophrenia has been found. Contrary to the popular view the ailment doesn't only cause multiple personality issues. It has three variants: 1) Positive, causing delusions, dysfunctional thoughts, movement irregularities and hallucinations; Negative, unhappiness, not finishing activities, reduced speaking and low bodily expression; and Cognitive, poor decision making, low attention, memory problems.
schizophrenia sufferer
Ten in a thousand people suffer from schizophrenia. It usually begins before the age of 30 years. In 2014 an international program was organized to isolate the causative gene. It has been identified in the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). The C4 gene goes wild in sufferers, binding to more foreign molecules. This reduces the synaptic connections in the brain.

Hopefully, a new more specific medication can be produced from the research data. Currently, drugs are not effective because the target has been unclear.  lifelong treatment is necessary involving medication to smooth-out symptoms.  Ironically, psychological therapy has been practised.  This now seems to be the wrong thing to do if it is cause by a gene.
