Chemistry Pushes ISIS Forward

It is not a new idea to "fill-up" front line soldiers with drugs when they take on the enemy. Sappers in WWII were told to inject themselves with morphine before advancing to set off mines so infantry who followed could move forward. It was common knowledge that the US turned a blind to marijuana use by its solders during the Vietnam war.

ISIS is also into this game. Alcohol is a no-no because the Holy Book specifically says it should not be imbibed. The Koran says that intoxicants are abominations. All drugs are intoxicants. This has not stopped drugs being used by ISIS to make fighters feel superhuman.

Daesh soldiers are being given fenethyline. This is an amphetamine compound and is very cheap. It has not been available in the West since 1980 due to side effects. ISIS makes it and sells it to anyone who wants to buy. The income is used to obtain weapons.

Fenethyline makes one feel invincible. You will keep going for days without sleeping. Your energy is boundless as long as you keep taking it. Even being wounded will not stop you. Pain is numbed. Unlike other drugs it stays in the body for up to 24 hours.

Legalize Marijuana - Be Careful What You Wish For!

Ninety three percent of Australians support the adoption of marijuana for medical use. This is despite the fact that no trial has shown any pain relieving properties in the drug whatsoever.  So we are going to relax the driving laws to allow people under the influence to drive - not bloody likely!

Can you imagine a guest at a party making a fool of himself while taking marijuana with others powerless to do anything about it? Sure, the drug makes you relaxed and dopey, but that is no excuse to force it on passersby.

It is not the genuine patients with cancer, Parkinson's disease, or glaucoma that may benefit from its improved well being properties, what we have to be careful of is doctor shoppers who go around pestering GPs to write scripts, like the current situation for opiates.

The government is planning to legalized marijuana for medical use. let us hope that tough safeguards are in place to block access to those in the general public who are only after a quick high.

We are Heading Toward a Drugged-Up World

A new survey has found that school children under 17 years who smoke cannabis are less likely to complete their high school education. This is not surprising as cannabis "kills" the rational part of the brain and makes users impulsive, unable to control their actions.

Addicts are driven through a path in life from one pleasurable thing to another. They avoid all uncomfortable situations immediately, seeking the nearest pleasure at hand. This is why they end up breaking the law and becoming incarcerated.

Suicide is high amongst cannabis users because good experiences are not always for the taking. When one works at a job it is not pleasant, nor is it truly sought after. However, unless the discomfort is suffered there will be no pleasure from spending the income.

Legalization for medical use is another step toward general access. Many young people are already unfit for the workforce because schools do not teach work related skills. Education needs radical reform. We need to turn the clock back. Get rid of the choice subjects and make all students do fundamental, core subject like in the old days. Rote is not a dirty word. Every older person knows the twelve times table by heart even in old age. Having all student repeat things out loud, together is a good thing. How are they to discover the answers on their own?

Like in ancient days in China when people spent their days slothfully wasting time sitting under a tree waiting for ripe fruit to fall, we are heading toward a world where everyone expects welfare and someone else will do the work. Drug taking is bringing this closer.

New Illicit Drugs Are Frequently Created

The world is in crisis. Illegal drugs that permanently damage users are easily purchased online. Recent research shows that when those under 16 years of age take marijuana regularly, particularly the cultivated strong variety, they are irreparably set back for the rest of their lives. Schizophrenia, is common. Furthermore, There is up to 55 per cent reduction in memory recall and decision making skills. A problem not given much importance is lung disease from smoking marijuana.

Dangerous psychoactive drugs are being developed. They are very pure and untested on humans. Some are highly toxic. Because they are new there are no laws restricting their supply, so they can be openly sold in Australia. Buying drugs online is virtually anonymous. The law has limited mechanisms for checking sales.

Several new chemicals are combined into a very dangerous brew. Some normal antidepressants are also added. The affects of drug interaction is unknown. Products are not checked for consistency. A brand bought one week can be completely different the next. Being legal in the short time does not make "home produced" drugs safe. Users believe that the new drugs are created in Australia. This in really not the case. Most are developed in China and India. These producers are untrackable. They do not use local currency. Barter is commonly practised.

Despite the wide choice of drugs, cannabis is the preferred substance of abuse. It is easily ingested by smoking, but it has a very strong smell that lingers for a long time after use. Police know when a person has smoked the illegal substance when they smell it. The chances of being caught are high.

Taking Marijuana and Driving Could Be Safe?

If you drink alcohol your ability to drive a motor vehicle is definitely negatively affected.  What about other drugs though?  A US attorney Matt Abel claims that "stoned" drivers were much safer than those who did not use marijuana.  The attorney is leading a petition calling for the decriminalization for people 21 and over.

He cites research studies that show marijuana affected drivers moved more slowly.  Their body actions were slow.  This, he claims makes them safer drivers.  If a driver has another car speeding toward him from the rear, he would prefer that the other driver had extremely fast reflexes, not slow ones.

Some research has found that some marijuana smokers performed as well as they did without the substance, but there was no improvement.  Most studies, however, show clear negative affects on driving from marijuana intoxication.  In Australia marijuana smokers were most likely to be at fault in motor vehicle accidents.  Like alcohol the more marijuana consumed the worse you drive.
