Democracy is Bent by Governments

Politicians do not respect real democracy. Right across the globe sitting presidents and ruling parties are not honoring peoples' rights. They are twisting the rules to suit themselves. Executives voted out still hang onto power. Governments ignore referendums and do what they want. A presidents gets a Nobel Prize for doing this. The whole world is becoming corrupt. | place governments not. |
Rulers are not democratic even in democracies
Gerrymandering is common in many countries with 'bent' electorate boundary lines being in place since WWII. Fiddling with boundaries goes on constantly. The governing Coalition in South Australia is doing it again by shifting nearly half a million voters into other electorates, making a win a certainty for them at the next state ballot. Democratic belief assumes roughly the same number of votes in each constituency. The SA government is actually worsening this "fair" system. | not. |

Taking over the national media is commonplace now in some lands. They even put opposition members in prison so they cannot stand in an election. No only that, but stupid people are being elected, sometimes with the help of hacking from a country that is the most bitter: the leader elect actually kisses the butt of the foreign authoritarian who directed the hack. Hating the guts of the second most dangerous enemy, the world's largest nation, does not bode well for future peace from the new erratic show/biz
president. | not. |

There are clearly bad times ahead. More nations are at war today than ever. When a bankrupt country hits its taxpayers hard in order to bomb the s..t out of innocent citizens to give a renegade part of a city back to a twerpy tyrant, we all need to head back to the caves. Oh, we cannot get into caves because they are filled with "terrorists"? And there are no woods left to move to. | ◆ not ◆ . |

We will have to stay where we are and hope death comes quickly and cleanly!

Religion is Weakening But It Will Not Die

The world is at war between those who believe in God and those who do not. Christianity is becoming less relevant to some as they lead busy lives. Islam is still strong and growing. The other religions are still important to many, particularly when there are hardships in life.

All religions are under threat as people clamber for democracy in countries where whole societies revolved around the dictates of the prevailing religion. From census data taken in 85 Western nations, it was found that the number of people ticking "unaffiliated" is increasing. Though the formula predicts total extinction of religious belief it is doubtful that this will actually occur. Even when a religion is outlawed people tend to go underground with their beliefs. It comes to life again when circumstances improve.

The thing is, we will never really know if there is a God. Many go to church as "insurance", just in case there is life after death. Religious books give us answers to the questions in life. Science may "disprove" such things as Adam being created just five thousand years ago but these books are so complex that a reader will find an answer somewhere in there amongst the complicated and confusing text.
