Seller Scam Hidden by eBay and Paypal

You can be scammed on eBay. Cheats have figured out how to trap you using eBay deals. A vender sets up the sale of an item. He/she shows a "ticker" that says 10 of 50 have been sold. Obviously, this is a false. There are none available to be purchased.

PayPal and eBay collude

The merchant watches for customer payments online. When he sees the transfer, he immediately withdraws the sale. The buy will not appear in your eBay list. It will show in the PayPal list, but PayPal will not give a refund with no record of an eBay purchase.

Why won't PayPal give you your money back?  Because there is no eBay record of purchase.  The seller is a distant memory: cancelling what he had for sale, closing the account and dumping the business email address.  There is no way of finding him.  The scheme is repeated a few months later.  He just displays the ad of the initial item.

So more eBay clients are protesting about losing their money.  Though the amount may be $50, it is a loss for the consumer. There is additionally the stress caused by endeavoring to recover the cash and the dissatisfaction of knowing you have been conned, losing your money.

The flaw in the accounting system in known by PayPal and eBay. Nothing is done to end the ruse. Like other Internet companies who have a data breach, the "twins" keep quiet hoping people will just accept if and forget about it. Purchase on eBay is a risky business.

Any Excuse for Cheap Thai Labor But Not Economics

Aussie companies use cheap Thai labor.
Companies betray Australia by moving offshore. It is amazing what they will say to justify such "job robbing" behavior. Executives even lie to themselves and never admit that the move is only to make more profit. Thai cheap labor economics
Thai factory workers
A case in point is the company Fibre King. This is a family business. Pat Boland, the joint managing director, says that the culture of Thailand was the reason to shift production to that country. This is absolute rot! economic cheap labor

He is going to fly in engineers to oversee Thai factory workers. No doubt, the Thai workers will be treated like slaves as their low wages dictate. The company will use the tried and proven colonial style system. Design and sales will be retained in Australia. This is 25 per cent of the workforce. The Thai "automatons" will slave away in the sweatshop in Thailand.

Wagyu Meat Sales are Booming!

The whole world is getting richer.  Many people don't just eat beef anymore. They consumer premium quality and high priced Wagyu. It can cost as much as $200 a kilogram.  Over valued? Perhaps so.  I don't buy it.  Then I am just too ordinary to care about.

It is the fastest growing breed.  With cattlemen tripping over each other to get their hands on some young ones.  It seems they are on to a good thing.  The future looks really good with growing demand.  Even meat from part bloods is fetching a solid price.
Wagyu cattle
Trade descriptors of Wagyu are complex.  Fifty percent with a Wagyu and another breed is termed F1.  There are grades for quarter, eights and so on.  A genome test is on its way to clearly define part Wagyu.  This will end suspect claims by some growers of their partials.

Demand is greatly exceeding supply at present.  Supply will rapidly rise in the next few years, however.  It is the high price that is drawing investors in.  Corporate money is flooding in.  They have heard of the potential profit.  Let us hope they don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs!

Australia's Exports of Genetic Material is Growing

Animal genetics in Australia is going strong. Exports of genetic material is growing particularly in Columbia, Chile and Mexico. The world generally is its oyster.
Australian animal genetic exports semen
Semen is the primary export product. Chile imports bovine semen while sheep and goat semen is purchased by Columbia. Latin America is the main market. Australia has a way to go to reach the U.S. and Canada. However, it is quickly catching up.

The quality of Australian beef is high and breeds suit the climate of South America. Sheep and goats are highly regarded. Surprisingly, even canine semen is exported to SA. Embryos are also sent there.

Shopping Centers are Watching You

Even if you shop online you are being watched. Furthermore, new technology is being rolled out in Australian shops to find out your shopping habits. This does not just include purchasing. The way you examine goods will also be recorded and analysed. The other day I was in Coles supermarket. I examined a product and put it back on the shelf. Then I continued into the fresh vegetable section. I was accosted there by a shop assistance who said I must purchase the product because I had lifted the wrapping on the corner. It was captured on camera.  This was a bit of a shock I must say.
New data collection technology in shopping centers
The key to avoiding being tracked is to leave your mobile phone at home. Phones are being used as tracking sources without your permission. The government is going to allow this. To gain access to wi-fi you will unwittingly give your permission to be tracked. To confuse those collecting data you can lend your mobile to family members, or even wear a dress if you are a man.

Westfield shopping centers are leading the charge with 21 malls now using the new data collection technology. You will be bombarded with advertising on the walls of shops and on your mobiles based on the data as you walk through. The cost you pay is high. You cannot turn the vision or sound off.

Plans are afoot to find out what you buy and what you pay. This is all being done under the premise that we "will provide them (customers) with a far more personalised shopping experience. Funny, we didn't ask for this and we do not want it. Shops are the driving force: "businesses are rushing to gather data and learn how to interpret it." Sell, sell, sell! Ain't that the truth?

Marketing Must Be Internet Based

The marketing game has changed. Long gone are the days when ad program were created for free-to-air TV advertisers. People spend most of their day on the phone, so advertising must be online.

Not only that, but the "early bird gets the worm". If you have a new marketing idea and put it on the Internet first then you win with rising sales. The new marketing concept that leads to sales is spread quickly through social media.

Marketers must not only be in the game: they need to be ahead of the game. New ideas win out. Replicating the old ways of doing things no longer works. Any perceived barriers are avoided by buyers and you lose out on sales.

Economics used to presume that consumers were all knowing about prices. Today, they really do know the price of things. They may look in the big stores. However, they usually buy online.

Buyers really analyze the advertisers message now. They look for "catches" in ads and ignore them moving on to buy elsewhere. Purchasing is so easy that buyers are becoming more patient, fully analyzing what they want and prices before opening their wallets - sorry bankcards.

Coca-Cola is It - Just Watching You

We are reaching a point now where you will not be able to stop companies having free reign to monitor and cajole people into doing things enterprises want. The legislation to prevent this will just be too complex to effectively use. Individual rights will be trodden underfoot in the rush for higher company profits as oligopolies rule the world.

These big companies are snapping up smaller rivals at their whim. They have massive amounts of money to spare. Australia is a favored testing ground for such enterprises due to its small population and established markets
. Companies can easily check out something new and see how it will work in larger economies.

Coca-Cola is putting facial recognition software on fridges in Australia so it can watch the behavior of customers and how they react to adds on the refrigerator. Sales have increased by 12 per cent over standard fridges. This is great for building up your waistline and for Coca-Cola.

When you go to get a fizzy drink in future you will enjoy a targeted entertainment program which is really just a colorful add just for you. If it is a hot day expect shows of people frolicking on sunny, sandy beaches quaffing coke.

It must be noted that targeted ads are commonplace today. What do you think Google does with all the data? Facebook is sending ads just for you right now. All the spyware and trojans are just ways of collecting information.

There could be hurdles though - what if governments legislation to make facial recognition an opt in service? Oh, by the way, turn off that location finder on your mobile phone. It is not there to help you! Soon Coca-Cola will be putting drink machines only in hot areas of buildings. Heat and higher sales go together.

Australian Busiesses Must Move to the Internet

Australian retailers are in a corner with people turning to the Internet to make purchases. With rents near zero for Internet sellers and high rents for retail shops the odds are stacked against local stores.

Travel agents are the ones hit the hardest. It is so easy to buy an airline ticket online. Next are bookshops. They cannot compete with Amazon, though some Australian bookshops are selling online as well. Pharmacists are up against large cut-price online sellers in the US. However, chemists can still rely on the highly subsidized cash cow called the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

Some Australian businesses are becoming paranoid. A woman was accused by a bookshop proprietor of making a list of books to buy on the Internet. A sports retailer asks for a deposit before customers try things on.

Things are changing so fast. Major stores in the US are allowing goods purchased online to be returned at city outlets. Australian businesses must make the move to the Internet now, or they will go to the wall.
